Walkathon 2025 is Here!!

The Walkathon Drive is GHSC's most impactful fundraiser, providing for ALL School-Wide Enrichment Programs, Community Events, Scholarships, and miscellaneous Guadalupe needs for the year! It is crucial to supplement the funding gaps that state and USD budgets do not provide for.

Your student brought home their Walkathon Info Packet yesterday! Please check their backpacks and review it with them. You are welcome to have your child(ren) create fundraising videos to send to family and friends!

TWO Parts to The Walkathon:

1) Fundraising Drivebetween 10/3/25 - 10/24/25.

  • The goal is for each student to raise $200 to help fully fund Guadalupe's dynamic enrichment programs & events.
  • The school-wide goal is to raise $80K.  Together, Grizzlies are on the move, groovin’ with the groove!

2) School-Wide Walkathon Event (Wednesday, 10/22 from 8:15am - 10am).

  • This celebratory event is held on the upper field with the whole school walking/running laps, dancing to fun music, enjoying themed activity stations, and partaking in allergy-friendly sweet treats!

SUPPORT OUR 5TH GRADERS!

Say NO MORE to chocolates, cakes, and breaking diets! Be the friend who shares a tree.

It's that time of year again for Holiday Giving! Our 5th graders are seeking help from generous families to raise funds for Science Camp and also to cover their parting gift to Guadalupe at the 2026 Graduation.

How about some festive cheer and bringing home a plant today? As Lorax says: "I speak for the Trees." When you are done decorating, you can plant your little tree too!

PREORDER your Poinsettia right now and grab them while they last!

Buy one for $15 or six for $84. And if you want to count down the year, throw in $120 for ten. (Each is in a pot 6.5 inches big and wrapped in festive red sleeves)

Plants will be ready for pick-up around the first week of December at 6 pm at Guadalupe's flagpole.

As this is all for donations, please note that there will be no changing of hearts or cancellations. Please pass it along to someone else. Everyone deserves a pot of love and Happy Holidays! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! :)

    1. If you haven't filled out USD's YEARLY mandatory Volunteer Code of Conduct, you can submit it HERE.  (This is a yearly requirement)
    2. Scan your Driver's License in the Raptor System in the office. (If you're already in the system, no need to re-scan)
    3. RSVP to school-hour events for EACH GUEST here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdHGN6q7rDlikv-6bk8hyZNM6kBkJkxm-g2Ciw5gyu7iIC7xA/viewform?usp=header
  2. District Illness Absence Policy: If your student has vomited, had diarrhea, or run a fever of 100˚F or above in the last 24 hours, please keep your student home until they are symptom-free for 24 hours. Please report your student's illness and absence daily by calling the Guadalupe Attendance Line - Please call ‭(408) 927-9452‬
  3. District Independent Study: If your child will be absent for 3 consecutive school days (and no longer than 14 days in total throughout the year), you must coordinate a short-term independent study option with your teacher.  Parents must contact their teacher or the office at least two weeks in advance for a link to the request form.
  4. Arriving After 8:15 AM: All late students must visit the front office to check in and obtain a late slip.
  5. YARD DUTY SHORTAGE: The front office is still short on Yard Duties for lunchtime. They are simply asking for a dedication of one weekly lunch shift. If you are interested in helping, please contact Ms. Fama at famag@unionsd.org.
  6. Forgotten something at home? Parents should leave lunches, water bottles, glasses, etc on the table outside the office to avoid interrupting class instruction.  Please LABEL their items!  Tell your students to check this table in case they forget something - this way we avoid calling into classes and interrupting instruction.
  7. Label Bottle/Lunch Boxes/Clothing: Please label all items your student carries or layers of clothing they can remove.
  8. Have a non-urgent question or comment for the office? Please avoid the office first thing in the morning- it's a busy time when Ms. Fama is helping tardy students get to class.  You are welcome to email or visit at a later time in the day.

All district guidelines are provided in the Union District Parents' Annual Rights Notification.

If you have any questions please email Ms. FAMA <famag@unionsd.org>
