IMPORTANT ITEMS FROM MRS. HAMCHUK

  1. '24-'25 TK/K Registration has opened!  Please spread the word that enrollment for next school year has begun.  https://www.unionsd.org/families/enroll-in-usd
  2. Registration:  If your children are already in the district, you do not need to re-enroll (if Guadalupe is not your home school, you will need to reapply to attend Guadalupe next year).
  3. Intent to Return:  All families do need to submit their intent to return for the '24-'25 school year.  Be on the lookout- this year, Union School District will be sending an intent to return email soon.
  4. District Community Facility Survey: Union District is asking all community members to help provide feedback on District facilities. Please take a moment to fill out the surbey using this link and share it with your neighbors. CLICK HERE FOR SURVEY
  5. District Illness Absence Policy: The cold and flu season is upon us. Please do not send your child to school sick! If your student has vomited, had diarrhea, or ran a fever of 100.0˚F+ in the last 24 hours, please keep them home until they are symptom-free for 24 hours. Please report your student's illness and absence daily by calling the Guadalupe Attendance Line - Please call ‭(408) 927-9452‬  (** Be specific about your child's symptoms so that the office doesn't have to call you for more information!**)

If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Hamchuk <hamchukj@unionsd.org>

TRAFFIC UPDATES: Help our kiddos stay safe!

Our dedicated Traffic Safety Team invests their time and effort to keep the Guadalupe community safe.  Please review the following guidelines and help spread the word!

Crosswalks @ Montalban/Vera Cruz

There are now TWO CROSSWALKS at this intersection! We are getting reports that traffic coming from Redmond is not yielding to students using the crosswalk.  PLEASE YIELD TO PEDESTRIANS AT ALL TIMES.

Turn Signals- USE AT ALL TIMES

With the rain comes an increase of cars around campus. Please be sure to use your turn signals at all times, especially when pulling away from a curb.

Rainy Days Delays

Please utilize the Vera Cruz curbside drop-off and pickup area to streamline the drop-off process.

If you wish to drop-off / pick up in the front parking lot, please stay to the left until you approach the parking lot driveway.  This way, you bypass the street drop-off line... just be sure to use your signals when attempting to turn into the front parking lot.

U-turns using Neighborhood Driveways

We are still getting reports from neighbors and parents that drivers are using neighbor driveways to make a U-turn on Vera Cruz & Puerto Vallarta.

Concerning reports have resulted:  Students have almost been hit by cars pulling into driveways quickly to make U-turns.

Please do not use driveways for U-turns or drop-offs.

Students Exiting Cars: Exit on the curb!

Students must always exit vehicles along the passenger side curb to avoid accidents and allow for safe traffic flow.

For further details, please see Mrs. Barocio's email sent on November 28 or email her at barociod@unionsd.org.
