SUBJECT: GHSC Newsletter: June Edition

READY FOR SUMMER?

As we close the 2021/22 school year, we wish all Grizzly families an adventurous summer. GHSC is already working on planning the upcoming 2022/23 school year. In this last edition of the GHSC Newsletter, we have news from the Library, volunteer signups for 22/23, and important news from the front office. Be sure to lookout for the relaunch email of GHSC Toolkit and the NEW ToolKit T-shirt Raffle.

LOST & FOUND ENDING SOON

Parents, you and your students have a few days left!

The LOST & FOUND will be cleared out on the last day of school, Friday, 6/3. All remaining items will be donated to SAVERS. Thank you to Ms. Linda for hand delivering all of the labeled clothing to students throughout the school year.

A special thank you to: Ms. Agarwal, Ms. Sebastian & Ms. Iducula for taking care of the donation all year long. Last note: Do these glasses belong to your student?

Dear Grizzly Community,

One word comes to mind as our school year comes to a close - GRATITUDE. Thank you for all the ways you have been part of our school community whether through financial giving, volunteering in the classrooms, keeping our students safe during morning and after school pick up, stepping in when there is a need, and the list goes on.

Countless examples of your support is why we have such a special community at Guadalupe. I wish you a restful summer enjoying quality time with your family and friends. Our GHSC Board can’t wait to greet you in the Fall for another remarkable school year.

IMPORTANT LIBRARY MESSAGE

300+ BOOKS OVERDUE

Mrs. Mettler is reporting over 330 books are now missing from the library.

Your student might be coming home from school saying they need to give Mrs. Mettler a lost book freet. If you cannot find the book in question, you will owe a Lost Library Book Fee which can be paid on the GHSCToolKit Store.

SUMMER READING

Let your young reader explore the Guadalupe Library Online throughout the summer using GOALEXNDER. Parents can find information on how to use the online Library on GHSC.NET.

This Friday, 5/27 @ 7:45AM, all of the parents who volunteered in main classroom roles, GHSC Chair positions or event volunteers will be honored by the staff and GHSC Board, at the Volunteer Tea. LAST DAY OF SCHOOL: Friday, June 3rd will be a minimum day for all grades.
- Fifth Graders: Can be signed out following the end of the 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony. A table with signout sheets will be located at the gates.
- Kinder/1st/2nd/3rd/4th Grades: These grades will be excused from school at 12:15 on Friday, June 3rd.
STUDENT MEDICATIONS: If your student has medications store in the nurse office, please pick up the medication by END OF DAY on Friday, June 3rd. All remaining medications will be disposed by the nurse.
LAST LOST & FOUND: June 3rd is the last day to check the LOST & FOUND rack. After school all of the clothing and water bottles will be donated.
PLANS CHANGE FOR 22/23: If your plans to return to Guadalupe for the 2022/23 school year. Please contact Mrs. Hamchuk via emai.

Get Ready for 22/23

Next Tuesday, 5/31 is the last day to order your student(s) a SchoolKit for the 2022/23 school year. The reason for the deadline is to ensure the hundreds of kits are delivered intime for the start of the school year. Please visit GHSC.NET/SCHOOLKITS for more information.

LESS THAN 20 COPIES

The Guadalupe Yearbook has been shipped and arrives just in time to be distributed the last week of school by the teachers. We have less than 20 copies left for purchase.

One of these few copies can be purchased on GHSC TOOLKIT. After the last copy is sold, we will have no extra copies to purchase next week. If you have a question about your order, please email yearbook.ghsc@gmail.com.

5th Grade Promotion

Friday, June 3rd

The fifth-grade class will be graduating from Guadalupe! 5th Grade parents are invited to join the event. The ceremony will take place on the upper track/field. We have enough chairs for two parents to sit. If you bring additional guests, please bring extra chairs.

PHOTOS will follow the close of the ceremony.

Cupcakes served for the 5th Graders.

If you need to walk further onto campus, please wear a mask.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL

The last day of school is an EARLY DISMISSAL DAY at Guadalupe.

Kinder/1st/2nd/3rd/4th Graders

All of these grades will be dismissed from class at 12:15 PM. Please make sure to edit your calendar or make arrangements with Extended Care.

5th Graders

After the promotion ceremony, 5th graders will be excused from school. Parents are asked to sign out their student before leaving campus. If your student needs to remain on campus, please arrange for them to attend Extended Care.

MEET 22/23 GHSC BOARD

On 5/4, the new GHSC Board for the 2022/23 school year was elected. We are excited to have new families joining the board, and we hope to get more parents involved in the new school year. Reimbursement DEADLINE COMING

Did you help with a class party or activity?

Did you purchase supplies for one of the many learning programs at school, like Art Vistas?

The final date to submit a reimbursement request to the Guadalupe Home and School Club is 5/31. All requests are to be completed on GHSC Toolkit. We are no longer accepting paper check requests.

Helpful hint: Combine your receipts into one PDF file, or you can attach three files as proof of purchase.
