We wish you all a safe and fun Spring Break. As we move closer to the end of the school year, Grizzly families will see more events happening on campus. Please check out the HELP WANTED section and new updates for the Outdoor Classroom and Parent Talk Series.
Mr. Dixon's Class Trouts
Guadalupe 5th graders in Mr. Dixon’s class raised trout and released them into Sandy Wool Lake in Milpitas on Saturday, March 26.
The students received the trout eggs several weeks ago and were able to observe as they grew into fry capable of surviving in the wild.
This is the first time that Mr. Dixon has raised trout with his students. Mr. Dixon learned about the program, which is sponsored by San Jose Flycasters when he renewed his California Fishing License.

IMPORTANT ITEMS FROM MRS. HAMCHUK
Label It!: The lost and found racks have been cleared off for the last seven weeks of school. Please help the racks stay empty by labeling all of your student's second layer clothing (jackets, coats, sweatshirts, sweaters) and water bottles.
Walking Bikes on Campus: Spring is an excellent time for students to ride their bikes or scooters to school. Please remind your student always to walk their bikes when they are on campus. More importantly, they should be patient and share the sidewalk with people walking on the sidewalk. We see too many students yelling at people walking on the sidewalk to get out of the way.

OLYMPIC DAY
Olympic Day is returning to the Guadalupe campus. 5th grade students will be helping run the events/races. But we need a few parents to help organize and oversee the festivities, to be held on Wed. 6/2. Olympic Day runs from the morning till 12:30 PM. Please signup on GHSC TOOLKIT.
Staff Parking & Volunteers
Guadalupe is seeing an increase of parents making ILLEGAL U-TURNS along Vera Cruz, Puerto Vallarta & Coleman. Parents are also using neighbors' driveways to make u-turns along Puerta Vallarta and Vera Cruz. There have been too many close calls of students and their parents walking along the sidewalk & driveway. Using any driveway to make a U-turn is very dangerous.
We are still in need of parent volunteers even with only 7 weeks left of school. TRAFFIC SIGNUP HERE.
Spirit Day: SUPERHERO DAY
Superhero Day is COMING
on Thursday, April 28th
Students can dress up as their favorite Superhero or Hero.
Please NO WEAPONS or MASKS.
School Kits Coming Soon
School Kits ordering will begin in early May, and an email announcement will be sent. School Kits is a great way to kick off the coming school year (2022/23) by giving your student the needed tools for the new grade they are entering. Each grade curates its grade box, so parents don't have to go shopping for more supplies during the first week of school.
Watch out for the launch email or check the May newsletter for the order link. If you have any questions, please email schoolkits.ghsc@gmail.com.
5th Grade Grad Signs ENDING 5/2
Reminder to all 5th grade parents, the PERSONALIZED CONGRATS SIGNS will be available to purchase till Mon. 5/2.
New this year, we are only offering one design setup and this sign can be taken home after the ceremony.
