Crossing Guards

The traffic safety team has worked hard these past three weeks to keep traffic moving during drop-off and pick-up. Our volunteer schedule still has some empty spots. We have two shifts; the morning shift is a simple 30-minute volunteer window. The afternoon shift is even faster. Thanks you parents for adhering to traffic safety rules.

NEW YEAR, NEW YEARBOOK

The Yearbook Team is ready for a new year and excited about the return to on-campus events and activities. This year, parents will see a price increase for the yearbook, but we made sure to keep our DISCOUNTED SIBLING PRICE OPTION. We tried hard to keep pricing down. After researching five other vendors, we found the industry has seen a 30%-50% increase in the pricing. This year, GHSC has organized an offer for every book that is pre-ordered to get FREE PERSONALIZATION on the front cover of the yearbook. Your student's name will be printed on the front cover, making life easier for our teachers who find random yearbooks on campus.

Pre-orders are already available on GHSC TOOLKIT.

DID I ALREADY ORDER A YEARBOOK?

Good question! Head over to your Previous Order page on your GHSC Toolkit My Accountthere, you will find a list of the orders you have placed on GHSC Toolkit. If you have any questions on yearbook orders, please send an email to yearbook.ghsc@gmail.com

BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB

Did you join the Guadalupe Birthday Book Club? If your student's birthday lands in August or September, their teacher will be delivering a special new library book with a bookplate celebrating their birthday over the next few weeks.

Celebrate your student's birthday by becoming a member of the Guadalupe Birthday Book Club. A new book will be purchased in your student's honor and added to the library collection. Parents can find more info at GHSC.NET

Local Business Sponsors NEEDED!

Guadalupe is always looking to connect with local businesses in the community to become a Sponsor @ Guadalupe. Being a GHSC sponsor helps increase an organization's visibility with the Guadalupe community and surrounding neighborhood, Your sponsorship supports the programs for our students.

Do you have a connection with a local business that might be interested in becoming a Sponsor? Please get in touch with Nancy Milward, our GHSC Sponsor Chair (sponsor.ghsc@gmail.com) to share more information. Parents can also share our GHSC Sponsor Page for more information on the perks of being a Sponsor at Guadalupe.

STUDENT BOOK REVIEWS

Each Monday, students start their week watching the morning announcements. These announcements are also shared with parents on the GHSC Facebook Group. Returning this year are the GRIZZLY REVIEWS, a great opportunity for your Guad Grizzly to show up on camera, sharing an awesome student book review. Submit a review by sending a short video. Details available at GHSC.NET/READS.

PHISHING EMAIL ALERT

Phishing scams plague us all! Please disregard any email from Guadalupe Home & School Club Board members email asking you to make monetary donations directly to them. GHSC will only solicite donations twice a year for the Classroom Giving Drive and the Walkathon. The GHSC will never ask you to give money directly to board members. All donation requests are made directly through GHSC Toolkit or a GHSC check dropped at the office.
